A Magical Adventure

We waited, we planned and we talked about going to Disney World a lot. And now, I can't believe it's been here and is already over. We've already forgot about the record setting rain fall, the temper tantrums, the stressful moments and did I mention the rain, 11 plus inches to be exact BUT now looking back we are left with a lot of good memories and of course a lot pictures of the girls first trip to Disney.

Highlights include, the girls first airplane ride, seeing the Magic Kingdom, Ally's love for It's A Small World, Katie's love for the food court and our endless supply of fruit snacks and Emma's love for the High School Musical dance performances and her Aunt TT (she stuck to her like glue). And of course, the best highlight was sharing it with our family.

Below are just a couple pictures from the week, I will post them all in a gallery soon!

Double Trouble

Two post in one week has to be a record but I had to post just a couple pics of Kate at her b-day party last weekend. She tuned two on Mother's Day. I can't believe how fast two years can go by and I can't believe how this little girl has completed our family. In two years she has wrapped up around her finger, learned to speak in complete sentences, throw a good temper tantrum, she's learned to crawl, walk and now runs everywhere, can sing and dance and loves to talk, she still likes to snuggle and she is still the best eater in the house. She makes us laugh everyday with her silly faces and her goofy attitude. She is a mix of Emma and Ally, with Emma's determination and Ally's sense of humor but most importantly she is Kate and easy to say one of a kind!

Shake, Rattle & Roll

Move over Elvis, Bill Haley and the Comets, the Orr girls are here to Rock Around The Clock! The Goddard School Prom was last week and the theme this year was 50's Sock Hop...well kind of, instead of doing the twist or the hand jive, Emma's class performed the Cha Cha Slide, it may not have been what Danny and Sandy would have done but it was cute!

It was such a fun night, they had a candy bar, not a snickers or hershey candy bar but an unlimited snack bar filled with 10 different candies to choose from, I think they were convinced that they were heaven! They topped the evening off with to much soda and a lot of ice cream but they had a great time dancing if off....the DJ spinned records all night (until 8 p.m.) until Daddio said it was time to Shake, Rattle and Roll home!

Goodbye April

I feel like I say this every time I post but I can’t even believe that this month is almost over. April has been great and we are more than excited to have some nice, warm weather coming our way. Not only did we have a great Easter but we had a packed April with things like the Goddard Night at the Magic House, Easter Egg hunts, kindergarten shots, some great tickets to the Cardinals game, a day at the St. Genevieve wineries to celebrate my birthday and I was lucky enough to be a parent reader in both of the girls classrooms at school…it was a fun April and we have just as much going on in May!

Below are some pictures from the month!

Ally's Big Adventure

Saturday was a big day in the life of a four year old. Ally decided she wanted to get her ears pierced. This wasn't the first time we've had this conversation so I knew she had been thinking about getting it done. We talked about what would happen, that it would hurt and that we would have to take care of them everyday, no questions. Ultimately, it was her decision and one that I thought for sure she would back down from.

Throughout the day she kept asking when we were going, so that afternoon Ally, Emma and I drove to the mall. Ally was so determined to get her ears pierced and kept telling me that she wasn't scared of anything...still brave as ever, we got to the store and asked some questions, she hopped up on the seat as the lady got everything ready and then EMMA started crying and begging Ally not to go through with it, she was so scared that Ally was going to get hurt, so scared she had to hide inside the store until it was over. Ally did get a little nervous when she saw the ear guns and said I don't think I want to do this....but it was to late. She cried when they pierced them and I wondered if I had let her make the right decision but after about five minutes she was thrilled, excited and still gets up every morning to look at her earring. They are adorable. Emma has decided to wait until she is 27 to get hers done!

Happy Valentine's Day

I made this card with all intentions to send them out and then like usual, I just ran out of time. So instead of no one getting it, I'm sharing it here and hoping everyone has a great Valentine's Day!

Flying By To Fast!

I can't believe February is almost half way over. We are all loving the warmer weather which has given us the chance to play outside and go to the park and has helped us cure some winter blues we were definitely feeling.

Last weekend we had Ally birthday party. We always celebrate her birthday in February, only two months after her actual birthday but I don't think she minds, at least not yet.

The rest of the week should go by in a blink, tonight the girls school is renting the Magic House for all the kids and their families and tomorrow night we are going to a Valentine's Dance which should be a lot of fun. The girls will bust out some dance moves that probably won't be appropriate, they will eat way to much junk food followed by candy and of course soda, I will drink wine, probably out of a box and we will all love it!

Anyway, this email always sends out to my list of peeps when I post a new entry but you can visit the actual blog by clicking here!
