May Happenings

It's almost impossible to believe that we are wrapping up the school year next week.  Not only is Emma going to officially graduate from kindergarten but Ally is also graduating from Goddard where they will have a graduation ceremony next Tuesday night, so cute and pics to follow!

Like most months May flew by, it was so busy but May is turning into one of my favorite months of the year!  Below are some pics from Emma's field trip to Powder Valley, Ally's Goddard Prom, Mother's Day Tea and of course little miss K's big 3rd birthday!

Going To The Game

We took the girls to the Cardinals game on Saturday afternoon and had a great time at the ballpark.  It was a beautiful day, our seats were great and the girls enjoyed the longest game ever (I think it eventually ended after 20 innings)!

But here's the thing...we are so grateful for the tickets that we were given but we've found the last two years that the girls really enjoy walking around the ballpark and eating and once those two things are accomplished they are ready to call it a day....they have no interest in the game and what's happening on the field, they are really just worried about how much junk they can get in their bellies!  So with history repeating itself we only stayed until the 5th inning!

Anyway, it was still a fun day....below are some pics!

April's Here Already

Oops ....No March post, it flew by in a heartbeat. I can't believe that Easter weekend is already checked off the calendar! We have the busiest April with weddings, a baby shower, birthday parties, doctor and dentist appointments, Ally's Goddard School Prom Night and even a trivia night (I haven't been to one of those in a long time but I'm sure some things never change....I will be great at eating and drinking but not much help to the table otherwise). Anyway, below are a bunch of pics, some from March and some from Easter.

Emma school field trip to the Missouri Botanical Gardens:

Emma and her Girl Scout Troop spent the cookie money they earned on a trip to Build-A-Bear so thanks to everyone who bought Girl Scout cookies this year!

Thanks to Linda and Renee for taking the girls to the annual SAGS Easter Party! They had a great time!

Love Letters

I can’t believe it’s been a year ago that I wrote the girls “I Love You” letters and posted them on our family blog. So with each new year brings a set of new letters to the girls. I can’t believe how much they have changed over the year but one thing is for sure, I love them more than ever!

Dear Emma,
I love your spirit and that you go into everything with such excitement, I love your energy and wonder how you always have so much, I love your laugh and the feeling I get when I hear you so happy, I love your new toothless smile, I love that you are clumsy and can laugh about it, I love that you love to pretend and play games, I love that you love to go to parties, I love that you have mastered the art of negotiation, I loved that you love to learn and hope that never changes, I love that you love music and that you love to sing, I love that you are learning to play piano and I know one day you will love it too, I love that you still want me to put you to bed every night, I love that you love my stories, I love that you like spending time with me, I love that you are sensitive but confident, I love that you love your sisters and that you always make sure they are included, I love that people always tell me how sweet you are, I love that you create happiness, I love that you made me a mommy, I love watching you turn into a young lady and love that you share with us what is important to you. Emma, enough words can’t be written to tell you how much I love you, I love you for you and for how I feel when I am with you.

I Love You,
Mom

Dear Ally,
I love that your smile is like sunshine, I love that just seeing you makes me happy, I love that you’re willing to share everything, I love that you are so athletic, I love that you love dresses and sparkly shoes, I love that you can make anyone laugh, I love that I am supposed to be the one teaching you but realize you are teaching me so much, I love that you are boy crazy, I love that you can make friends anywhere we go, I love that you just love to play, I love that we can share laughter and tears, I love that you antagonize your sisters, I love that you have this personality that is uniquely your own, I love that you melt my heart, I love the way you dance, I love that you are the middle child, I love that you are honest with your words and kind with your heart, I love that you are so laid back and easy going, I love that when you are home for the day you go straight to your room and put on your pajamas, I love that you love musicals like Hair Spray and Bye Bye Birdie, I love that you are hilariously funny and you make me laugh everyday but mostly I love that I am so in love with you. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you, although I don’t want it to go any faster than it’s going. I don’t how it’s possible but I love you more and more everyday!

I Love You,
Mom

Dear Katie,
I love that you are so loving and compassionate, I love the way you always hold my hand, I love your big eyes and long eyelashes, I love that you have a vocabulary way beyond your year, I love your personality and the animated faces you make, I love that you follow around your sisters and want to be a part of everything they do and I love that they usually include you, I love the way you say yellow and fabulous, I love that you call me to sleep with you, I love the sound of your voice, I love that you always want to be around me, I love that The Wizard of Oz is one of your favorite movies, I love that you started pre-school this year and that you have adapted so well, I love that you are so easy to please, I love that you love to read and love your sticker books, I love that you would eat suckers for breakfast, lunch and dinner with bubble gum for a snack in between, I love that you love pizza and pasta, I love that you love to wear swimming suits all year long, I love that you are my baby, I love the way you brush your hair out of your eyes, I love that you love to sing and dance, I love that I have a weakness for your smile, I could go on and on about things that I love, but more importantly than things I can write down is that you know my love has no boundaries or limitations. You are simply irresistible and I am so thankful for you.

I Love You,
Mom

I love Christmas time and all the chaos that goes with it, the parties, the food and drinks, the decorations and lights, the cute outfits and the excitement and anticipation of Santa's arrival. This year's preparation for Santa has been a lot of fun. Thankfully Papa Bob has Santa's phone number so the girls had the chance to get Santa and his elf's on the phone to talk about how "good" they've been!

We also had big birthday to celebrate this month....Ally turned five on December 14th. Dave took her out of school for a day of fun...they went to Incredible Pizza for lunch and then to see the movie The Princess and the Frog. And, that night we all went to Our Lady of the Snows for dinner and to see their Christmas lights!

As always, it was another busy month so there are a lot of pictures to share, I also included our Christmas cards that we sent out this year. I did four different designs so I thought I would post all of them.
I hope everyone had a great holiday and we are looking forward to ringing in 2010.

Santa Baby

The girls had their Winter Festival last week at The Goddard School. It's a fun night for all, they have a lot of activities for the kids like cookie and ornament decorating, crafts, the chance to run from classroom to classroom with their school friends and the ever eventful picture with Santa.

Now, Emma and Ally are professionals, they smile and get in and get out when it comes time for Santa pictures but Kate is still learning, she talked a good game all day about sitting on his lap and even put on a brave face as we waited for our turn to get next to the big guy...everything was going as planned and then Santa's helper placed her on his lap and the mood changed quickly to panic, then screaming then hysterics, good times, good memories and a great photo! Here are some pics from the night:
