All Dressed Up

Like many people, Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year, not only because it's so exciting for the girls or because we get to spend time with the family but because it's the only time I really dress the girls all the same and I love getting their pictures taken. Of course, getting all three girls to stand still, smile and look at the camera is always challenging and definitely more stressful on me then on them. This year, we had a photographer over to Carol's house, thinking the kids would be more comfortable and not so rushed, he took some good photos so I wanted to share a couple with you. I hope everyone's holiday was good and we are looking foward to ringing in 2009 on Wednesday night!

Holiday Festival

Last week the girls had their Holiday Festival at school and they were really excited to see Santa and Ms. Claus. Unfortunately, our house has been hit with a stomach virus so Kate was sick and at home with Grandma. The school sets up activities in each classroom like cookie decorating, coloring, games and a room set up to make ornaments, it really is cute.

Anyway, we are all looking forward to Christmas at our house, it's going to be so much fun. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and I'll post more photos after the holiday.

December Update

Okay, I think I can officially say I am a bad blogger. I planned on updating our family blog once a week but can never find the time to sit down and post updates but I'm not giving up and will continue to post when I can.

Anyway, November went by in a blink and now here it is already December and it's almost Ally's birthday. I can't believe she's going to be four on Sunday, she had changed so much this year turning into this little girl right before our eyes.

Below are some misc. pictures from the last couple weeks and will plan on posting more next week with some pictures of Ally on her b-day.

Halloween Fun

Halloween was a lot of fun, the girls loaded up on candy and had a great time walking or running the neighborhood. Emma, Ally and Evan dressed up as super heros. Emma was Super Girl, Ally was Wonder Woman and Evan went as Spiderman. Kate also had fun but she was a ballerina and cute as can be! I guess it's time to say goodbye Halloween, Hello Christmas!!!

Below are some pics of everyone dressed up!

Is October Almost Over?

I can't believe how fast time is going. We are already half way through Ocotber and Halloween is right around the corner. The girls are really excited to dress up and we've decorated the outside of our house so it's a constant question of "How many more days until Halloween?"

Last weekend our friend Megan had a birthday party at the Pumpkin Patch, the girls had a great time and it's the place we go every year to take a family picture. The weather was great and the place was packed but every year we have such a great time.

Below are some pictures from the day!

What A Week And It's Only Wednesday

We had an exciting to start to the week. First Emma and Papa Bob got to meet gold medal winner Scott Touzinsky. She had her picture taken with him and was able to hold the gold medal. They weren't expecting to meet him so the only camera they had to take the pic was with a camera phone but it was still really cool!

Then on Monday, the girls started soccer at SMMA, it's the first time they have played a team sport so they were excited. Since the kids ages range from three to five, they are on the same team. It's so cute, there are about six different teams and every Monday they practice for the first half hour and then play against one of the other teams the second half hour. Emma scored two goals and Ally stopped one goal from going in.

We had our own cheering section, Kate, Evan, Maddy, Mike, my mom and dad, Christine, Carol, Dave and I were all there to watch and cheer on the girls. The class that Papa Bob teaches at Wash. U is on Monday night's so he wasn't able to make it and he wasn't happy about missing it but I have a feeling he might make one this year.

Below is the pic of Emma and the gold medal and some from soccer!

Emma's 5th Birthday Bash

On Saturday we had Emma's 5th Birthday party at the house. She was so excited to have everyone over....she had been waiting for this day all month. It ended up being a really nice night and not the typical 100 degree summer evening we have been used to. We rented a bounce house for all the kids and it was a hit, it kept them busy all night long and the girls were completely exhausted by the end of the night.

Here are a few pics from the party:
